Chrissy Metz is definitely this year’s hottest newcomer. Not only does she represent all of us who feel somewhat insecure about ourselves (like her character “Kate” does in This is Us), but in real life she also makes us want to celebrate it!

Now that season one of the hit show aired last night, Chrissy is starting to bubble with ideas surrounding her character, like… when is she going to have sex?

“I want it on screen — I guess it’ll offend people, still. But fat people do have sex, for the record,” the actress told People. Chrissy herself has struggled with years of dieting and depression, and now is a strong advocate for body positivity.

“You have to use what you have,” she told People last February, “and I wouldn’t have this role if I had already lost weight. Now it’s about telling a story of a woman struggling with her weight, just as I have and still am.”
