Barack and Michelle Obama had lunch in New York City, where their daughter Malia lives now while interning at the Weinstein Company. The trio dined at Upland restaurant and arrived with Secret Service in tow (of course).

Another lunch guest was none other than U2 frontman, Bono. The three are good friends and have had numerous lunches over the years — Bono is a renowned philanthropist and works all over the world promoting change, so it’s no surprise he’d get along with the Obamas.

The crowd cheered, and many stood. According to videos taken by patrons at the same restaurant, one woman shouted “We love you!” while another asked, “Can I have a handshake?” to which Barack obliged.

The group apparently had a fried chicken sandwich, sausage and kale pizza, and bueanti cache e pepe. Now that’s a lunch!
