Apparently Emma Watson was even more in character as Hermione than we thought she was!

The actress stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, where she was given a lovely gift by Jimmy: the privilege of watching her own screwups from the movie in front of lots of people.

Jimmy played a clip of a take from Harry Potter and the Sourcer’s Stone that shows Emma mouthing the words of her costars’ lines as they speak. Clearly a brainiac, just like her character!

The 26-year-old was mortified, and shared that this was not a rare occurrence. She said,

“This is actually quite traumatic for me. I would ruin takes.“[Director] Chris [Columbus] would be like, ‘Cut! Emma, you’re doing it again, you’re mouthing Dan’s lines’  and I’d be like, ‘Ooo, I’m so sorry, so sorry. Oh, I feel so bad.’ But I couldn’t help myself. I was such a loser.”

Apparently she was so into the books that she went a bit overboard with the research. “I really love those books,” she said. “I really wanted to do my job well and I kind of overdid it.”
