Saturday Night Live is probably saving the country right now, and the funny lady in front of the charge is Kate McKinnon. History will show that she singlehandedly saved the United States by making us laugh and cry (sometimes at the same time).

The cold open for SNL this weekend featured Kate playing Jeff Sessions in a Forest Gump-inspired sketch, ultimately showing a picture of Kellyanne’s infamous sofa photo: “This is my best good friend,” Kate’s Jeff Sessions said. “She ain’t got no legs.”

“Life is like a box of chocolates: sure are a whole to of brown ones in there.”
