We can’t believe it — stop the presses, this is probably one of the most interesting and exciting news of our lives! (I mean, kinda…)

OK, so Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were famously linked years ago until Angelina Jolie split them apart while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Brad in 2005. Old news, right?

Well given that Angelina and Brad are now split, and Angie isn’t getting seen in the best light, rumor has it that Brad and Jennifer Aniston are talking again!

According to Page Six, Brad texted his ex-wife Jen (who is now married to Justin Theroux, so calm down everyone!), to wish her a happy birthday. She turned 48 on February 11.

A source close to Brad told Page Six, “They have been texting and have been in touch. There has just been some friendly back and forth, nothing more than that.”

Their communication shouldn’t come as too much a surprise given that US Weekly also reported that Brad has been confiding in Jen during this whole divorce kerfuffle:

“Brad told her he’s having a hard time with his split and they exchanged a few texts reminiscing about the past,” a source said.

A third source has come out, too, to say that while they might be texting, it’s solely platonic and Jen would never cheat on her husband: “It isn’t romantic at all, they are friends again. They made it seem like Brad was running after rJen, and that isn’t true. It is nothing more than they are back in touch with each other.”

Oh and in case you wondering: “Justin is OK with them being friends,” the insider confirmed. He knows “Jen just wants to be nice.”
