In 2009, Chris Brown was convicted of viciously assaulting Rihanna after leaving a pre-Grammy party. He punched her in the face, smashed her head into the car window, and choked her until she started to lose consciousness.  The singer pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to 180 days of community service and five years probation, which officially ended in March of 2015. It seems, however, that his abusive behavior may not have stopped there.

Chris’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, filed a restraining order against him, accusing him of abuse and death threats. She claims he punched her in the stomach, pushed her down the stairs, and even threatened to shoot her. According to The Huffington Post, Karrueche said in recent court documents that as recently as this month, she received death threats via text from Chris, and that he told other people that he was going to kill her. “This is why I’ve decided to finally go through with the restraining order because he is starting to take action on his words.”

Chris is now required to surrender any firearms he has, not contact Karrueche at all, either directly or indirectly, and remain at least 100 yards away from her, her brother, and her mother at all times.

Here’s hoping this will be the end of Karrueche’s ordeal.
