Aww! Hoda Kotb Adopts a Baby Girl
The world woke up to some very exciting news: Today’s Hoda Kotb confirmed she adopted a baby girl named Haley Joy Kotb.
“I do have something to tell you, but instead of telling you, I’m going to show you something,” Hoda shared with Today via phone call. After revealing the photo of her holding Holey, she added, “Haley is a Valentine’s baby, she’s a little nugget. She is the love of my life.”
The 52-year old host also said to Haley, “We’ve been waiting a long time for you.”
Hoda has no children from her previous marriage with Burzis Kanga, and there was not really any hints that she was to adopt a child except for a coy message on Instagram that read, “For all the things my hands have held the best by far is you.”
Of course, her Today co-hosts are beyond thrilled for their colleague. Matt Lauer said after the news, “The little girl Haley is the luckiest girl. You are going to be one of the most fantastic moms I can ever imagine.”
“How hard it has been to keep this secret,” Kathie Lee Gifford said. “I have the biggest mouth in the world and I’ve said zilch… We are thrilled for you. You were made to be a mom.”
