Anchor Tamron Hall has decided to leave NBC and MSNBC, despite executives claiming they wanted her to stay.

“Tamron is an exceptional journalist,” NBC News said in a statement. “We valued and enjoyed her work at Today and MSNBC and hoped that she would decide to stay. We are disappointed that she has chosen to leave, but we wish her all the best.”

Tamron herself said she is grateful and “also very excited about the next chapter. To all my great colleagues, I will miss you and I will be rooting for you.”

This is the latest discovery in Today’s insistent makeover. As Hollywood Holler previously reported, Megyn Kelly just signed a deal with NBC that will include an hour with Al Roker during a Today show hour, as well as a Sunday night news program.

Natalie Morales, Willie Geist, and Billy Bush also left Today’s weekday lineup last year.

If NBC is trying to be the new ‘Fox News,’ what else are we to expect in the coming months??
