Prince William and Prince Harry have commissioned a statue of their mom, the late Princess Diana, which will be placed in the gardens at Kensington Palace.

We can’t believe it’s been 20 years since the death of Princes Di! And according to a statement from Kensington Palace (the icon’s former home), “[The] time was right o recognize her positive impact in the U.K. and around the world… Our mother touched so many lives. We hope the statue will help all those who visit Kensington Palace to reflect on her life and her legacy.”

William and Harry pulled a committee to raise the funds for the statue privately. More details on the sculptor and design will be released at a later date.

We can’t wait for the big reveal!
