Molly Ringwald Cast as Who’s Mom?

Molly Ringwald is set to play the mom of “Archie” in the upcoming CW series Riverdale! Molly is set to appear in the tenth and eleventh episode of the series, executive produced by Supergirl and The Flash‘s Greg Berlanti.
According to Variety, this is Molly’s character description:
Having left Riverdale two years ago to follow her dreams, Ringwald’s Mary Andrews comes back to town in her family’s hour of need. She not only reconnects with Archie (played by New Zealand actor K.J. Apa) and her husband, Fred (Luke Perry) but also her former high school gal-pals Hermione and Alice, just in time for a Homecoming Dance.
The murder mystery, Riverdale, premieres Thursday, Jan. 26 at 9/8c.
